Interesting article below - not rocket science really but I think it still comes as a shock to a lot of companies that customers a a wee bit cynical about their PR and marketing spiel...

If you can get your employees to create content, share your updates or comment on your company news you are already winning. 

We recently added a feature to encourage sharing of employee generated content, and you can really tell the clients that are using it to it's fullest potential because the share numbers on their posts go through the roof... 

There is a caveat - employee generated content has to be genuine and have an authentic ring to it. You can give your team guidelines, but the moment you start issuing edicts or threats or even writing the content for them, you lose all the trust that you could have built!
